Invite Friends Promotion Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

1.1 PLEASE READ THESE PROMOTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE PARTICIPATING. BY PARTICIPATING IN THE PROMOTION, YOU WILL BE DEEMED TO HAVE ACCEPTED AND AGREED TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. AMONG OTHER THINGS, THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS INCLUDE LIMITATIONS OF YOUR RIGHTS AND REMEDIES.

1.2 This promotion (the “Promotion”) is brought to you (“you” or the “Participant”) by Skrill Limited, a company duly registered under the laws of England and Wales under company number 04260907, with its registered office at 1st floor, 2 Gresham Street, London, EC2V 7AD, UK. Skrill is authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 for the issuing of electronic money and Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited, a company duly registered under the laws of Ireland under company number 626665 with registered office at Grand Canal House, Grand Canal Street Upper, Dublin 4, D04 Y7R5 and authorized by the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) for the issuing of electronic money. (both entities referred as “ Skrill”, “we”, or “us”).

1.3 Except as otherwise expressly set forth herein, these Promotion Terms and Conditions shall be read together and interpreted in conjunction with the Skrill Account Terms of Use. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency, these Promotion Terms and Conditions shall prevail (only to the extent of the conflict or inconsistency).

2. The Promotion

2.1 During the Promotion Period, Skrill is inviting Account Holders to refer friends to Skrill by sharing a referral link (“Referral Link”) and to earn up to €25 reward in total (“Reward”) (or EUR 5 Reward per Refferree) once the qualification criteria as set out below has been met. The friend(s) you refer (“Referee”) who meet the qualifying criteria will also be eligible to receive a €5 welcome bonus upon fulfilling the requirements set out below.

3. How it works

3.1 This Promotion is available to Skrill Account Holders who have been invited via e-mail by us or are newly registered and are able to see the Promotion in-account banner in ther Skrill Accounts.

3.2 Skrill will send a selected number of its existing Skrill Account Holders a unique Referral Link as pointed out in s.3.1. All newly subscribed Skrill Account Holders who, in Skrill’s sole opinion, are eligible to join the Promotion, can find a referral link within the ‘Invite Friends’ section of the ‘Settings’ section of their Skrill Account. You are encouraged to share this Referral Link with family and friends to sign up to Skrill. There is no limit to the number of invited Referees but you will only receive the Reward for the first 5 friendswho sign-up for a Skrill Account. These five friends will only be eligible to receive a welcome bonus of EUR 5 (five EUR). Once your 5th Referee completes their registration, your Referral Link will automatically expire, and no further sign-ups from this Referral Link will be accepted. For each of these 5 Referees who complete the requirements listed in point 4., you will receive a 5 EUR bonus, and you can accumulate up to 25 EUR in total for this Promotion.

4. The Promotion Period

This Promotion shall run from 20.04.2022 00:01 GMT until 30.09.2022 23:59 GMT (“ Promotion Period”). This Promotion is for a limited period of time only.

5. Eligibility Criteria to receive the referral bonus:

5.1 In order for both you and your Referee to receive your Reward and welcome bonus respectively, a Referee must meet the criteria defined and set out below (note that irrespective of the number of the invited Referees, you will only receive a Reward for the first five Referees who meet the eligibility criteria below and only they will be eligible to receive the welcome bonus):

a. Follow the Promotion invitation link from your email or the embedded link in your Skrill in-account banner;

b. Download and log in to the Skrill app. Get it on Google Play or Download on the App Store;

c. Register for a Skrill Account in accordance with the Skrill Account Terms of Use;

d. Make a deposit (excluding deposits via paysafecard or paysafecash);

e. Verify your identity following the steps shown by Skrill;

f. Send your Referral Link to Referees;

g. Have your Referees meet the eligibility criteria in s. 5.2.

In addition, in order to participate in this Promotion, you must meet all the criteria defined and set out below:

a) Not use your Skrill Account for commercial purposes;

b) Not be an employee or an immediate family member of employee of Skrill Ltd, Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited or any other Paysafe group company. For avoidance of doubt, an “employee” includes contractors and secondees and an “immediate family member” shall mean any individual with any of the following relationships to the employee: a/ spouse, and parents thereof; b/ sons and daughters, and spouses thereof; c/ parents, and spouses thereof; d/ brothers and sisters, and spouses thereof; e/ grandparents and grandchildren, and spouses thereof; f/ domestic partner and parents thereof, including domestic partners of any individual in a/ through g/ of this definition; and g/ any individual related by blood or affinity whose close association with the employee is the equivalent of a family relationship;

c) Not be a service provider or a direct family member of a service provider to any of the Paysafe group companies;

d) Be at least 18 years of age;

e) Not reside or be located in any country that Skrill is prohibited from offering Skrill Accounts; and

f) Not have your Account registered and used in any country where this Promotion might be considered illegal and/or prohibited. You can only take part in this Promotion if you have received the promotional email.

The above mentioned are collectively referred to as the “ Eligibility Criteria”. For the purposes of this Promotion a participant is an Account holder that meets all of the Eligibility Criteria (“Participant”).

Except as otherwise expressly set forth herein, the current Promotional Terms and Conditions shall be read together and interpreted in conjunction with the Skrill Account Terms of Use, In the event of any conflict of terms, these Promotion Terms and Conditions shall ,only to the extent of the inconsistency, prevail and shall be applied.

5.2 Eligibility criteria to the Referees

In order to receive the 5 EUR welcome bonus, your Referees must meet the following criteria. Your friends must also meet these criteria for you to receive the referral bonus.

a) Have signed up to Skrill using your unique Referral Link (only the first 5 signed up Referes with this link will be eligible for the welcome bonus);

b) have acquired a True Skriller status following the steps shown here and

i.Download and log in to the Skrill app;

ii. Make a deposit (excluding deposits via paysafecard or paysafecash);

iii. Verify your identity.

c) not use their Skrill Account for commercial purposes;

d) not be a service provider or a direct family member of a service provider of any company in the Paysafe group;

e) be at least 18 years of age.

6. General

6.1.We reserve the right to end this Promotion at any time at our sole discretion or to make changes to this Promotion at any time at our sole discretion by sending written notice to the primary email address registered to your Skrill Account or by amending these Promotion Terms and Conditions. Skrill reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Promotion in whole or in part, at its sole discretion, if it believes the Promotion is not capable of being conducted as specified within these Promotion Terms and Conditions or in the event of a virus, a computer bug or unauthorised human intervention or any other cause that is beyond the reasonable control of Skrill that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the Promotion.

6.2. We reserve the right to remove any Participant from this Promotion where we reasonably believe a Participant has breached or attempted to breach these Promotion Terms and Conditions or the Skrill Account Terms of Use, or attempted to circumvent any security or operational procedures.

6.3. All decisions by Skrill are final and binding and no further correspondence will be entered into.

6.4. We are not responsible for: (i) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (ii) unauthorised human intervention in any part of the entry process of this Promotion; (iii) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of this Promotion or the processing of entries; or (iv) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from participation in this Promotion or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.

6.5. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the present Promotion Terms and Conditions, or the rights and obligations of the Participant and Skrill, as applicable, in connection with this Promotion shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of England or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than England.

6.6. If there is any discrepancy between the English version of these Promotion Terms and Conditions and any translation of these Promotion Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.

6.7. Insofar as is permitted by law, Skrill, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate a Participant or prospective Participant, or accept any liability (whether direct, indirect, special, incidental, exemplary, punitive or consequential) for or in connection with the participation (or attempted participation) in the Promotion whether such liability arises from any claim based upon contract, warranty, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise. A Participant’s statutory rights are not affected. However, nothing in these Promotion Terms and Conditions excludes or limits in any way any liability for death or personal injury caused by Skrill’s negligence, for fraud or for any other matter where liability may not as a matter of law be excluded or limited.

6.8. Skrill shall not be liable for delay in performing, or failure to perform, any of its obligations under these Promotion Terms and Conditions, if such delay or failure result from events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to fire, flood, earthquake, adverse weather conditions, strike, war (declared or undeclared), embargo, blockade, legal prohibition, governmental action, riot, insurrection, damage, destruction, flight or other transportation delays or cancellations.

7. Privacy and personal data

7.1. Processing of personal data is governed by the Skrill Privacy Notice which can be found on Skrill’s website. Additional information may be required by Skrill to verify compliance with these Promotion Terms and Conditions.

7.2. Within your Skrill Account you will receive notifications on the Reward earned in respect of your Referees once the Eligibility Criteria have been concluded.

7.3. Before you send your Referral Link you must be satisfied that the person you are referring is happy to receive your Referral Link. By using the Referral Link you are confirming that you have obtained such assurances from your Referees.

7.4. In case you keep sharing the Referral Link after exceeding the maximum number of people indicated in these Promotion Terms and Conditions, you and the Referees will not earn a Reward and, respectively, a welcome bonus. Once you have reached your five-person referral limit, your Referral Link will no longer be active. If you continue sharing your Referral Link with Referees, an error message will be displayed to such Referees. 

7.5. Upon sharing your Referral Link with Referees, you are also sharing with them your referral code. By using the Referral Link you are confirming that you consent to the sharing of your referral code with such Referees.
