How do I manage my Skrill Prepaid Mastercard®?
The Skrill Prepaid Mastercard® is available only to residents of authorized European Economic Area (EEA) countries and the UK.
If you want to be in control of your spending or it happens that you misplace your card at some point, use the Lock card feature to temporarily block payments with the card until you find it or until you’re ready to make your next payment.
How does it work?
The Lock/Unlock card feature is an on/off switch that you can use to block spending with your card in just a few seconds, both in your account and mobile app. To lock your card follow these steps:
- Go to the Skrill Card section in your account.
- Press on the lock icon to lock/unlock your card.
Once the card is locked you would not be able to retrieve card details such as PIN, card number and CVV code. Keep in mind that some payments such as credits, refunds, and card-related fees will continue to be processed normally.
You may unlock the card just as easily at any time from your account or mobile app and continue using it.
How do I manage my prepaid card limits (available only on a web browser)?
You may view and control the spending limits of your physical prepaid card. Simply visit the section Skrill Card > Spending limits. Via this tab you can:
- Edit your spending amount limit for ATM withdrawals.
- Edit your spending amount limit for physical/online payments.
- Reset your spending limits back to the maximum amounts possible.
If you attempt to set a spending limit higher than allowable, an error message will be displayed.
On occasion, this feature may not be available, if you receive an error that your limits were not changed, re-attempt at a later stage.
How can I differentiate my physical and virtual Skrill cards easier (available only on a web browser)?
You can add different names for your physical and virtual Skrill cards via the Name your card option in the Skrill card section of your account to help you differentiate them easier.
The card names are visible only in your Skrill account and cannot be imprinted on the physical card.
