How can I update and verify my phone number?
You can only change and verify your registered phone number while logged in via a web browser.
To update and verify your new phone number:
- Go to Settings > Personal details > Phone number.
- Click Edit, select the country code, and enter your new phone number.
- Choose where to receive your 6-digit confirmation code, depending on your active authentication methods:
- your old phone number,
- your primary email address, or
- contact us via the available channel below if you don’t have access to either.
- Enter the code within 15 minutes.
- A second code will be sent to your new phone number.
- Enter this code within 15 minutes to verify your new number.
If you previously added a phone number that wasn’t verified, you can do so by clicking the Verify button next to the number.
What should I do if I don’t have access to my old phone number?
If this is the case, follow the steps above and on step 3 choose the option to receive your confirmation code via email instead. For that, you’ll need to enable email and PIN as an authentication method if you haven’t done so yet.
