How much does it cost to use Skrill?

Is there a fee for opening a Skrill account?

We won't charge you a fee to open an account with Skrill. Our easy registration process takes less than a minute and you can start sending and receiving funds immediately.

Should you wish to, you can close your Skrill account at any time. Note that a service fee will be deducted from any leftover funds until your balance is zero.

What are the fees for depositing/withdrawing funds?

Skrill aims to provide low-cost local deposit and withdrawal options for all supported countries.

If you do not have a Skrill account yet, visit our dedicated Fees page and select your country of residence to view the available deposit/withdrawal methods and applicable costs.
In case you already have an account, check the Deposit/Withdraw sections, and find the available options, together with the applicable fees and charges, if any.

What are the fees for sending/receiving funds?

We may charge you for receiving funds and paying online on merchants’ websites with your Skrill balance only for transactions involving currency conversion (see below). You may be charged a small fee for sending money to other Skrill customers, depending on your User Level or VIP Level, and on whether the transaction involves currency conversion.

What are the fees for the Skrill Visa® Prepaid Card?

All the fees and charges related to your Skrill Visa® Prepaid Card can be found here. VIP Skrillers can apply for their Skrill Card without any fees.

Is there any foreign exchange fee?

For transactions involving currency conversion Skrill adds a fee to our wholesale exchange rates. For more information, visit the dedicated page.
