Deposit Bonus Promotion Terms and Conditions
READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE PARTICIPATING. YOU WILL BE DEEMED TO HAVE ACCEPTED THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND AGREED TO BE BOUND BY THEM WHEN PARTICIPATING IN THIS PROMOTION. AMONG OTHER THINGS, THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS INCLUDE LIMITATIONS OF YOUR RIGHTS AND REMEDIES.
1. The Promotion
Except as otherwise expressly set forth herein, the following terms and conditions apply to this Deposit Bonus Promotion (“Promotion”) and shall be read together and interpreted with the Skrill Account Terms of Use. This Promotion applies to Eligible Participants as defined herein.
In the event of any conflict between these Promotional Terms and Conditions and the Skrill Account Terms of Use, these Promotional Terms and Conditions shall prevail, except for art. 15. Liability of the Skrill Account Terms of Use which, in the event of any conflict, shall supersede and control over the terms of these Promotional Terms and Conditions.
All terms defined in Skrill Account Terms of Use shall, unless expressly stated to the contrary or if the context otherwise requires, bear the same meaning when used in this Promotion.
2. The Promotion
Skrill shall send selected customers an invitation email to the primary email address registered to their Skrill Account at the start of the Promotion Period (“Invitation Email”). The Invitation Email contains a pre-determined transaction volume target of EUR 350 (the “Target”). Eligible Participants who reach their Target during the Promotion Period shall receive a one-off 1% Bonus on the entire amount that they have spent with Eligible Merchants capped at EUR 150 for the whole Promotion Period. The Bonus shall be paid as in-account credits.
3. Promotion Period
The Promotion runs from 9 September 2024 at 00.00 UTC time and ends on 9 October 2024 UTC time (the “Promotion Period”).
4. Eligibility Criteria
4.1. In order to take part in the Promotion, you must:
4.1.1. be at least 18 years of age;
4.1.2. received an Invitation Email;
4.1.3. have an active Skrill Account as per the Skrill Account Terms of Use;
4.1.4. not participate in any other bonus or cashback promotion at the time of receipt of the Invitation Email;
4.1.5. not reside or be located in any country where Skrill is prohibited from providing Services;
4.1.6. not use Skrill for commercial purposes;
4.1.7. initiate an Eligible Transaction as defined in clause 5 herein;
4.1.8. not be an employee or an immediate family member of an employee of Skrill, or any of the Paysafe Group of companies. For avoidance of doubt “immediate family member” shall mean any individual with any of the following relationships to the employee: a/ spouse, and parents thereof; b/ sons and daughters, and spouses thereof; c/ parents, and spouses thereof; d/ brothers and sisters, and spouses thereof; e/ grandparents and grandchildren, and spouses thereof; f/ domestic partner and parents thereof, including domestic partners of any individual in a/ through g/ of this definition; and g/ any individual related by blood or affinity whose close association with the employee is the equivalent of a family relationship;
4.1.9. not be a service provider or direct family member of a service provider to Skrill or any of the Paysafe Group of companies;
The above mentioned are collectively referred to as the “Eligibility Criteria”.
If you satisfy the Eligibility Criteria, you are an eligible participant for this Promotion (an “Eligible Participant”).
Skrill reserves the right to require Eligible Participants to provide evidence demonstrating that they meet any or all of the Eligibility Criteria and may at its discretion disqualify any Eligible Participant if such evidence is not provided within a reasonable time stipulated by Skrill (acting reasonably) or if Skrill (acting reasonably) is not satisfied that the Eligibility Criteria are met.
Use of script, macro or any automated system to enter the Promotion is prohibited and entries made (or which appear to have been made) using any such system shall be treated as void. Any illegible, incomplete or fraudulent entries shall be rejected.
5. Eligible Transactions
Eligible Transactions are successful send money transactions made from the Eligible Participant’s Skrill Account to any eligible Skrill Merchant as referred to in clause 7 “Eligible Merchants” below during the Promotion Period (“Eligible Transaction”). Skrill reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to exclude certain types of Eligible Transactions in order to comply with specific prohibitions.
Please note the following transactions are not Eligible Transactions:
a) Transactions made using the participants Skrill Prepaid Mastercard®;
b) Person-to-Person send money transactions;
c) uploads to, and withdrawals from, the participant’s Skrill Account;
d) transactions between linked accounts, including transactions between two or more linked Skrill accounts, regardless of any VIP status of any of the account or accounts;

6. Bonus Rewards
6.1. Each Eligible Participant who reaches the Target set out by Skrill shall earn 1% bonus payment (“Bonus”) on the entire amount spent with Eligible Merchants capped at EUR 150 for the whole Promotion Period.
6.2. Skrill reserves the right to disregard any Eligible Transaction for this Promotion that Skrill, in its’ sole but reasonable discretion, deems an abuse of the Promotion including but not limited to:
a) transactions that have no commercial purpose;
b) multiple transactions that are made to artificially increase the Bonus volume of Eligible Transactions;
c) transactions that are not for the personal benefit of the Skrill Account Holder;
d) are prohibited transactions as set out in section 11 of the Skrill Account Terms of Use.
6.3. The Eligible Participant is eligible for the Bonus at the end of the Promotional Period. Skrill shall make reasonable efforts to transfer all Bonuses to the Eligible Participant’s Skrill Account by 20 October 2024 UK time without notice or request. Skrill reserves the right to extend the transfer term for the Bonus until 30 October 2024 UK time at latest if it is required to do so.
6.4. All Bonuses shall be paid out in EUR currency. In case the Skrill Account is in another currency, you will receive the currency equivalent of the respective Skrill Account’s generic currency as shown above, converted at our standard exchange rate for the day on which the Bonus was paid out.
6.5. Bonuses are final and non-exchangeable.
7. Eligible Merchants
All merchants accepting Skrill payments are eligible except for the “Excluded Merchants” detailed in Section 5. Please note that the list is subject to change and we might have to exclude a merchant if the merchant expressly instructs us to do so. We will notify you by email, to the email registered with your Skrill Account, in case a merchant is no longer eligible. Any Eligible Transactions, performed before our notification that the affected merchant is excluded from the Promotion, shall be considered and accounted as Eligible Transactions for the purposes of this Promotion.
8. Privacy and Intellectual Property
8.1. The processing of Participants data is governed by Paysafe’s Privacy Notice which can be found on Paysafe’s website (https://www.paysafe.com/en/paysafegroup/comprehensiveprivacy-notice/ ).
8.2. For the purposes of the Promotion, Participants grant Skrill a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, non-transferrable, irrevocable licence to copy, use and display any logo, trademark, trade name or other intellectual property (where applicable) which may be published on various Paysafe Group marketing channels including but not limited to our websites, emails, and social media pages.
8.3. All Participants granted a Bonus agree that personalised details (first name, surname initial and country location; by way of example “John D. from Germany”) can be published on Skrill’s marketing channels including, but not limited to Skrill.com, emails, social media and online broadcast.
8.4. For the fulfilment of the Bonuses we may rely on suppliers with whom we need to share personal details. By accepting the Bonus the Participant may be required to enter into an agreement with the supplier(s) for the fulfilment of the prize.
9. Confidentiality
9.1. Confidential Information means any information which is marked as “Confidential” or should be reasonably expected to be confidential having regard to the context of disclosure or the nature of the information; including, without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, business plans, data, strategies, methods, customer and client lists, technical specifications, transaction data and customer data shall be deemed confidential.
9.2. During the Promotion Period and thereafter, Skrill shall use and reproduce the Participants’ Confidential Information only for purposes of this Promotion and only to the extent necessary for such purpose and will restrict disclosure of the Confidential Information to its employees, consultants, advisors or independent contractors with a need to know.
9.3. Notwithstanding the foregoing, it shall not be a breach of this Promotion for Skrill to disclose Confidential Information if required to do so under law or in a judicial or governmental investigation or proceeding.
9.4. The confidentiality obligations in this Clause 6 shall not apply to information that (i) is or becomes public knowledge through no action or fault of; (ii) is known to Skrill without restriction, prior to receipt from the Participant in relation to this Promotion, from its own independent sources as evidenced by Skrill’s written records, and which was not acquired, directly or indirectly, from the Participant; (iii) Skrill receives from any third party reasonably known by Skrill to have a legal right to transmit such information, and not under any obligation to keep such information confidential; or (iv) information independently developed by Skrill’s employees or agents provided that Skrill can show that those same employees or agents had no access to the Confidential Information received hereunder.
10. Legal Recourse
10.1. This Promotion is brought to you by Skrill Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of England and Wales with company registration number 4260907, with its registered office at 1st Floor, 2 Gresham Street, London, EC2V 7AD,United Kingdom (“Skrill Ltd”) alongside with Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited, a company duly registered under the laws of Ireland under company number 626665 whose registered office is at 70 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2, D02 R296, Ireland (“PPSL”). Skrill is authorized by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 for the issuing of electronic money, under registration numbers respectively for Skrill Ltd Register No. 900001 and PPSL is authorized by the Central Bank of Ireland for the issuing of electronic money under registration number C184986. Throughout these Promotion Terms and Conditions Skrill Ltd and PPSL shall be collectively referred as “Skrill”. By entering the Promotion, the Participant accepts these Promotion Terms and Conditions.
10.2. The present Promotion does not apply to residents of countries where this Promotion might be considered illegal and/or prohibited.
10.3. By entering this Promotion, you agreed to these Promotion Terms and Conditions.
10.4. Skrill reserves the right to remove Eligible Participants from the Promotion where Skrill has reason to believe that you have breached or tried to breach these Promotion Terms and Conditions, the Skrill Account Terms of Use or attempted to circumvent or impair Skrill’s security or operational procedures.
10.5. Insofar as is permitted by law, Skrill, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate an Eligible Participant or prospective Participant, or accept any liability (whether direct, indirect, special, incidental, exemplary, punitive or consequential) for or in connection with the participation (or attempted participation) in the Promotion whether such liability arises from any claim based upon contract, warranty, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected. However, nothing in these Promotion Terms excludes or limits in any way any liability for death or personal injury caused by Skrill’s negligence, for fraud or for any other matter where liability may not as a matter of law be excluded or limited.
10.6. All decisions by Skrill are final and binding and no further correspondence will be entered into.
10.7. Skrill is not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Participants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in the Promotion; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorised human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from participation in the Promotion or receipt or use or misuse of any prize, bonus, or commission.
10.8. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the present Promotion Terms and Conditions, or the rights and obligations of the participant and Skrill in connection with the Promotion shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of Ireland or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Ireland.
10.9. Skrill reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Promotion in whole or in part, at its sole discretion, if it believes the Promotion is not capable of being conducted as specified within these Promotion Terms and Conditions or in the event of a virus, a computer bug or unauthorised human intervention or any other cause that is beyond the reasonable control of Skrill that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the Promotion.
10.10. Skrill reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend or end the Promotion at any time in its sole discretion or to make changes to this Promotion at any time in their sole discretion by giving written notice to existing Eligible Participants by sending an e-mail to the e-mail address registered with the Eligible Participant’s Skrill Account or by amending this Promotion.
10.11. Skrill accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
10.12. Skrill shall not be liable for delay in performing, or failure to perform, any of its obligations under the Promotion Terms and Conditions, if such delay or failure result from events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control, such as but not limited to fire, flood, earthquake, adverse weather conditions, strike, war (declared or undeclared), embargo, blockade, legal prohibition, governmental action, riot, insurrection, damage, destruction, flight or other transportation delays or cancellations.
10.13. If there is any discrepancy between any translated version and the (original) English version of these Promotion Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
