The expectation is for a very fast market – only four weeks in which to close all deals. That is why many clubs have already begun to take action.

Between signings and sales, there are those who are preparing to work on the market with great attention.

In Italy, AC Milan will have to buy a new central defender: Simon Kjaer's long injury will force the club into a new signing in January. What we don't yet know is whether they will opt for an experienced player or a young talent.

Juventus will also be active: there is the intention to sell Aaron Ramsey and possibly also Arthur Melo, while the plan is to buy a new midfielder and potentially a new striker.

Among the most active clubs in the world is undoubtedly Barcelona. The elimination from the Champions League is a big blow and coach Xavi may look for a defender in addition to the Ferran Torres signing.

Everything will depend on the transfers with Samuel Umtiti and Philippe Coutinho in the list of players who could leave the club. The first one will be Alex Collado, on loan to Granada.

In the Premier League, an important January is expected for Tottenham. Definitive decisions have not yet been made, but Steven Bergwijn could be sold and the idea is to buy at least two new players.

Attention as always is on Manchester United, with Ralf Rangnick evaluating the current team. Amad Diallo could be loaned while Anthony Martial has expressed a desire to leave the club. Donny van de Beek may also be sold, while Paul Pogba will not leave in January.

Man United's new signings are a work in progress, but they are looking at midfielders.
