It’s been 25 years since Franco Baresi won his last trophy as a player for AC Milan.
Yet the honorary Vice-President of the club is confident that the team is on the brink of glory once again.

This year, he is sure that the club is carrying out a winning project that is starting to give good results both on and off the pitch.

The 61-year-old, winner of 18 trophies in his 20-year career with the Rossoneri, including six league titles, three European Cups and two Intercontinental Cups, granted an exclusive interview to Skrill in which he talks about AC Milan's progress this season, also sharing his expectations for the team's path in the league and the Italian Cup.

Q: Hello Franco, thank you for joining us once again. Earlier in the year, you told us AC Milan's goal was to return to the Champions League before the end of last season. What can the team achieve this year?

FB: After reaching the Champions League this year, our aim is to improve and have even more ambitious targets next year, which is how it should always be at AC Milan.

Q: With their best performance in Serie A in 10 years, could we be on the horizon of seeing the next great AC Milan side?

FB: I think that this team has grown a lot and has shown that they can compete in Italy. We need to improve in continental football but I think AC Milan are on the right track and that we can be positive about the future.

Q: The Rossoneri have recently beaten Genoa and will now face Lazio in the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup. Where do you think Milan can get to in this competition?

FB: I think that the Coppa Italia is a real chance to win a trophy this year. We got knocked out of the Champions League but between the league and cup, I think we can really keep this goal in mind.

Q: You have already told us that the team has improved a lot, but are there still things to improve?

FB: I think that we have a deeper squad this year but, unfortunately, we’ve been struck by a lot of injuries. I think that AC Milan can compete because we have a squad stacked with talent.
