Both men are admired throughout the world of football, but nowhere more so than at AC Milan, where they picked up a haul of medals throughout their illustrious careers.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest defenders of all time, Franco Baresi totted up an astonishing 719 appearances in a career where he played only for AC Milan. He was also capped 81 times for Italy.
He finished his football career counting six league titles, four Italian Super Cups, three European Champions League wins, two Intercontinental Cups and three European Super Cups. AC Milan retired the number six jersey in his honour.
Talented striker Massaro netted 69 goals in 306 appearances for the Rossoneri, contributing to AC Milan winning four league titles, two European Champions Leagues, three European Super Cups, two Intercontinental Cups and three Italian Super Cups.
Always decisive in the key moments, he netted a brace against Barcelona in the memorable Champions League final win in Athens in 1994. Starting his career at local club Monza, Massaro also had spells at Fiorentina, AS Roma and Japanese side Shimizu S-Pulse.
He was capped 15 times for Italy and scored one goal for his national team. Both Baresi and Massaro were in the Italy squad that won the 1982 World Cup, defeating West Germany. And although neither man played in the final, they both have a World Cup winner’s medal.
