Why do I need to verify my account before paying?

Copied to clipboard

Some merchants may require your Skrill wallet account to be fully verified before they can accept your payment. This helps keep your account safe and supports regulatory requirements.
You may be asked for identity verification, address verification, video verification, or a live selfie. Once the review is complete, you can return to the merchant checkout and try the payment again.
Follow these steps:
1.    Log in to your Skrill account.
2.    Go to Settings/Profile > Verification & features.
3.    Check which verification steps are still pending.
4.    Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the verification. You may need to use your device camera for this.
5.    Once the review is complete, return to the merchant checkout and try the payment again.
