How do I receive money using Skrill?

There are three ways to receive funds into your Skrill account:

  1. Fund it. Use one of the options available to you in the Deposit section of your account.
  2. Receive money from another Skrill user. To receive money as a personal user with Skrill, all you need is a valid email address or phone number.
  3. Receive funds from a merchant. You can cash out and receive the money to your Skrill wallet from any of our partner sites. Receiving money from a merchant is free of charge on our end, however, some merchants may apply a fee. It's better to check with the merchant directly

When you request or wish to receive a payment from another Skrill customer, simply let the sender know the email address or phone number you've registered. They won't need any other personal or financial details from you, so rest assured that your account details are completely safe.

In case you receive a payment for an amount larger than your current transaction limits, it will remain with a pending status. To have the amount credited to your balance, you'll have 14 days to complete the required verification by clicking 'Verify to accept'. After that timeframe, the transaction will be automatically cancelled. If you can't verify for some reason, you can also cancel/decline the transfer earlier than that and the amount will be returned to the sender:

If you still haven't registered with Skrill but are already expecting a payment, sign up for a Skrill account. You'll have 14 days to complete your registration before the transfer is automatically cancelled.

Did you know? You can now also receive crypto from other customers. The process is the same - give your email address or phone number to the sender and wait for the transaction to appear in your wallet.

Note: If the transaction is in a currency for which you have already an existing balance, the money will be added directly to it.

How long does it take?

Receiving money through Skrill is usually instant and free of charge.

Currency conversion fees apply. If the payment was sent in a currency different than your wallet currency, we'll charge you a foreign exchange fee.
