What documents do I need to use Power of Attorney?
If you’ve been given Power of Attorney by a Skrill customer, you should provide us with the following documents to manage their account:
- a copy of your personal identification document;
- a copy of the personal identification document of the account holder;
- a copy of the Power of Attorney document, confirming your rights;
Depending on the case, we might also require a copy of your bank statement.
All documents must be valid and clearly readable. A bank statement should have been issued within the last 90 days. To check our requirements for identification documents, please check the related article below.
What is Power of Attorney?
We understand that using our products and services can be tricky for some. This might be the case if someone is affected by a physical or cognitive disability, mental health problems, addiction, or low literacy, numeracy, language, or digital skill levels.
With a Power of Attorney document, our customers may designate a person or entity to act on their behalf in managing their financial affairs. The document must specify what powers are given to the agent (the designated person) and when exactly those powers are to take effect.
If you’re unsure of what actions you need to take, please contact us via one of the available channels below. We aim to provide you with the same level of support as we would our own customers.
